EC and YC took it in turns to knock each others constructions over; they didn’t go for the starting slowly approach, they went straight for the kill (I may have helped)!None of us were surprised that YC’s was completely knocked over, but EC was shocked that his fell totally apart. After several months of creating new STEM resources for my classes I really felt that my lessons could be a lifesaver for busy teachers - like you!

I love reading and cats and coffee and getting up early. In this STEM club activity, students design and build an earthquake-resistant two-storey structure, considering principles of earthquake engineering and design such as the importance of a solid foundation, wide base, symmetrical design and trusses.
