Through reading the whole entire book I would find myself wanting to read and really enjoying it while I was. I thought it was the perfect format because after I read for like 10 minutes I already read 20 pages sometimes even more. In this book whose plot could have been drawn from current headlines, he explores the possible consequences when some athletes take things too far.
He doesn't talk a lot throughout the book but in the end we find out that he is the reason the Teddy is in a coma. A hazing ritual, an accident or something else? Teddy's mother didn't want him to play football in the first place it was his dad that loved football and wanted Teddy to play, his parents are divorced throughout the book but they start to deal with each other in the hospital while Teddy is there.Woah.
It's VERY easy to read but feels like a book for teens which is SUCH an important trait. In conclusion, I feel that this book was a decent book. Mike Lupica is a very popular sports writer and I've been checking out his books my whole life. The book is based on interviews with more than 300 people involved in the campaign. Thirteen-year-old Teddy is in a coma after a serious head injury. My experience with the book was great. A book for everyone but specifically reluctant and struggling readers that'll make those students say "I can read this!!"
The book was good yet it had gotten really good at the end. Another main character in the book would be Ethan. So I don’t know how valid my rating would be. I’m glad I got to read this with my son.
