Born to Fly highlights her childhood, and how life as a product of a broken home affected her, as well as her rise to fame, heartbreak and a second chance at love, parenting, both as a working mom and in a blended family, mental health, the journey to her strong faith, and also her hope to continue to bring joy and happiness to others through her musical talent. I wish I could rate this book higher than I am but I cant seem to do it. Those looks... that voice! I have a bit of an ear for these gals who possess such sweet, beautiful and unique voices and Sara is definately one of these gals. I liked reading about her childhood.
The mishaps that happened to Sarah, falling into a septic tank and the horrible time she went to get the mail. I learned a lot about her and received great advice to apply to my own life. I love every song on this CD especially You Don't, Saints and Sinners, 4:30, Born to Fly, and of course I Could Not Ask for More. I didn't agree on many of her points on raising children, stepchildren or marriage. I can't explain what it is about her music that is so different, but you'll understand when you hear it yourself.

In addition to her music, Evans is an accomplished author of three novels, her memoir Born To Fly, and lends her resources and time to many charitable causes including the CMA Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the American Red Cross, and many more. I went into reading this memoir not really knowing anything but that she, like most Country musicians, came from a small town and went through a nasty divorce.Born to Fly started off strong with a detailed description of life growing up in rural Missouri. Excellent CD, every song on it is great. Within days, "Born To Fly" was at my door and in the cd player. I must be a little behind the times. It's as natural with her as one breathing. I loved, loved this book. I love every song on this CD especially You Don't, Saints and Sinners, 4:30, Born to Fly, and of course I Could Not Ask for More.
