Personally I will follow it. Easily accessible and easy to read, the minimalist's have put together a large number of short essays on everything you can think about to make your life more intentional. If he wants to become a writer, he needs to explain with his own feelings and words, that to me was lacking in this book. I rarely write reviews on Amazon.com site as I'm a resident in Japan and only buy English kindle books in Amazon.com site. Yes I'm from a country where the original Zen concept which is still alive inside me even in a way that I'm least conscious of. I commend these two young men for changing their lives and trying to share their experiences with others, but their egos kept getting in the way of their writing.

It took me about 40 days to do their 21 day plan, but that's fine, and was without breaking my back (some days I just soaked in their well-wrought, hip but sincere essays!). That essay could have been expanded. These guys have a pretty particular circumstance in which they were successful in previous careers with the lifestyle that affords and wanted to live more simply where they could pursue their writing passions. It's a short collection and very reasonably priced so still worth picking up. Well written, funny, engaging, and inspiring. There are much better books on Minimalism. A fresh, honest and compelling truth here that continues to capture my attention. This book by Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus collects the most relevant essays - some short, some long - from their popular website, TheMinimalists.com. There was some good reminders -"Be on the mountain", Eat healthy, drink plenty of water....." but it really didn't help me with my collection of crap that I have accumulated over the years.
Because most of the things here are redundant. Please buy this book and listen to their blog. I have been a minimalist for a few years and always enjoy Millburn/Nicodemus' views. So I love the minimalists ideas and way of living, that's why I started reading this book to learn more. © 1999-2020, AllBookstores.com.
