The Conservatorium High School (colloquially known as Con High) is a government-funded co-educational selective and specialist secondary day school with speciality in musical education. We have a café, “Café Cantata”, in the school on weekends for AMEB examination candidates and their families.
I am not going to take action now because I could be entirely wrong. It draws on a mix of objective and subjective assessments, data that is derived from auditions, workshops, school reports and academic tests.
Thoughts anyone? Prospective students must also pass the NSW Selective School tests. I am a student at the con-high currently and I am aware of what subject choices we are offered in year 11 and 12.

As a result of new policies school population declined to a dangerous level affecting musical studies and practicies such as House Concerts. Applicants who are prevented from sitting the SST because they are applying from out-of-state or overseas, must provide the results of a current Instrumental applicants audition on instruments that are currently taught in the Conservatorium of Music. This article is about the music high school. The school presents three major choral/orchestral concerts in Terms 1, 2 and 3. The Conservatorium High School is dedicated to the pursuit of academic and artistic excellence. While students at the Conservatorium High School have opportunities to perform with school ensembles and sing with the school choir, there are fewer opportunities for students to perform as soloists. I think I've reverted to the correct version, but I cannot be entirely sure. At annual house concerts, held at the very end of Term 4, the houses compete for a trophy in one of the school's most esteemed musical events. Welcome to the website of the Conservatorium High School, the secondary arm of the Conservatorium of Music in Sydney, NSW and the State’s only specialist music highschool. They might also be asked to play some technical work like scales and arpeggios. The school presents three major choral/orchestral concerts each year. Students designated Choral Majors [i.e., choristers] receive expert vocal coaching, choral training and associated performance opportunities. Voice cannot be taken as the Major Study during these years.
